Technical Requirements

There are two parts to Learning Bug:

1) The main web site (running on our secure servers) which is used to play the game.

2) A "Gatekeeper" web site that runs within your school that "automagically" logs students and teachers in to the main web site - no need to have special usernames and passwords!

There is an installer for the Gatekeeper web site that takes care of the setup for you - the process takes a few minutes only - but there are some prerequisites.

The Gatekeeper web site needs to run on a Windows 2003 server that:

* Is part of your school's Active Directory domain.
* Has Microsoft's Internet Information Services (IIS) component installed.
* Has Microsoft's .Net Framework installed.

The Gatekeeper web site does not have to be installed on a dedicated server. It makes minimal demands on hardware and infrastructure, and could run on pretty-much any server that can run Windows 2003 with IIS, even if that server is running other web sites too.

Browser support
* Learning Bug is designed to work with Internet Explorer 7 and Internet Explorer 6.
* To take advantage of the sound effects within Learning Bug, you will need to have Windows Media Player installed on your desktop computers.
