Good teachers can spot good learning – and gaps in the knowledge and understanding – by looking at the sorts of questions learners ask and the sorts of answers they give.
After every Learning Bug session the questions, the marks, the answers and even the Thunk responses are all stored for the teacher to look at and use as a springboard for further work in a more traditional classroom setting. This is especially useful when the Learning Bug has been used in Cover Bug mode and the teacher is catching up with what the class has been doing during the teacher’s absence.
